Q: I'd like to create a Web site for a nonprofit group that I help run. Our domain name is registered with Network Solutions. Does that mean I must use that company to host the site? And if not, which hosting sites do you recommend?

A: No, you don't have to use Network Solutions (networksolutions.com) to host your site, although it's not a bad choice.

They'll sell you a year of hosting for $10 a month and throw in an extra year of domain registration for free. Other popular hosting sites that charge $10 or less include Bluehost, Dot5hosting, Hostmonster and GoDaddy. All of these sites offer free tools that let you design, build, publish and maintain a basic Web site by yourself.
