Casey, the "Wonder Dog" is the only dog in the world that sand surfs on command. Casey, who at the time was a five year-old female Beagle, was characterized by her veterinarian as "morbidly obese." Her trainer is Alan Lubke. Here Casey is performing a sand-surfing exhibition at the Pacifica, CA pier for a free lance photographer/writer, Ann Carranza. The length of Casey's first slide was eight feet, the second was six-and-one-half feet.

Also present were Alan's two nieces, Shawn Lubke, and Allison (Mrs. Vince Cendejas - Vince was there also) with their dogs Brighton and Boingo respectively.

The following commentary is by Norman Lubke, Alan's brother: "If I hadn't seen it, I wouldn't have believed it!"

Pictures above are by Barbara Lubke, Alan's sister-in-law.
